Atomic Sketch Event is a monthly event featuring a panel of established and emerging artists from around Chicago, making and selling art immediately after it's created at an affordable price. ASE is always free and open to those 21 and older. The Green Eye is located at 2403 W. Homer in Chicago.
March Atomic Sketch Event News
Atomic Sketch Event (ASE) along with the Green Eye Lounge, is proud to present a new show of film photography by Rachel Winslow. The show, entitled "Winter Blues" is a collection of photographs taken in and around Chicago and will open on Thursday, March 29th, 2012, from 6-11pm.
Winslow, born in Atlanta, had been travelling extensively for the past two years before settling in Chicago. She is an experimental analog photographer. Instead of altering her photographs digitally, she prefers to use expired film and damage her negatives in order to get her final photograph. She most recently served an apprenticeship with one of Israel's most prominent commercial photographers. Her photographs have been featured in Mental Shoes Magazine, and she was recently interviewed by lomography.com.
In addition to the photography opening, the ASE welcomes six new panelists for the month of March:

For those who have never been, our panel of artists will create original works of art through the night and put them on the wall for extremely affordable prices.
In addition to the panel, drop-in artists are always welcome to bring their materials and sell their work. It's a great chance for up-and-coming artists to get recognized and for up-and-coming collectors to start or continue a great art collection.
